Convert 8 bit to 9 bit

Hi every one , Is there method to convert or code 8 binary bit to 9 binary bit ?

I don't think there is a built-in function for that. But it is not difficult. Simply prepend a zero to the 8-bit binary. For example, b='10010011' is an 8-bit binary, then the 9-bit binary is given by b=['0' b];
