.wav to .mat format file

Hi,

I have a sound file with .mat format and it's property says that it is a Microsoft Access Table.
My question is how we can convert a .wav sound to such format, i.e. .mat?

Thanks
Silvia

Use WAVREAD and SAVE in that order.

I'm assuming you have a Windows machine. If so, what is most likely happening is that Windows Explorer has all .mat files associated with MS Access, which is the default. You can verify that this is the case by trying to open the file in Matlab. It's possible to change the default programs used to open file types, but it varies by the version of Windows you have.

Use waveread.m to import .wav files into Matlab.
