Hello all and thanks in advance for any help you can supply.

I'm writing a code that uses Active X controls in Word for report generation. I know there is a newer way to do this with Matlab Report Generator, but I'd like to stick with this method, albeit somewhat outdated.

The problem I'm having is that the standalone code works fine on some machines but not on others, and I'd like to do some remote debugging with the people we are making the software for. I've incorporated the diary function into the code, but the program tends to crash when it does fail and the 'diary off' function does not execute as it is at the end of the code when it properly executes. I'd like it to supply a file that I can get via e-mail and correct the issues, but I'm not sure if diary will catch the errors if the 'diary off' line is not executed before the crash.

Are there other options besides the 'diary' function? can a '-logfile' option be added to the standalone?

Thanks,

Lucas
