HI.. i have to classify all types of WBC such as Monocyte, Lymphocyte etc. I have extracted the constituent of all these cells, but don't know how to categorize these constituents w.r.t type.. Any suggestion please.

according to my little knowledge of classification problem.
information you entered is not sufficient, is it a ANN problem. u can save ypur database in excel,
you must have extraced the different constitunents out of all types so that it easu to classify i suppose

i think its better u convert ur image to a digital form,, then neural network is more feasible to apply,,,but i think it can be performed/classify without neural network, because its simple classification not then testing the network also like that. im sure of that but its a little suggestion because i have worked much on image processing just read about that and have a little idea, better it would be if u concern some specialist, i m jst a student

i have calculated some of the geometrical features such as area of every object (constituent), and define a threshold for categorization, it is working fine with monocyte, but i want to follow some other strategy, what if i calculate the ratio of nuclie and cytoplasm and then checks that whether the blob is single or not and then categorize it according to its type. but unfortunately i don't know how to do it.

This isn't a new problem or a new technique. Have you done a thorough web search?

Hi, i'm doing my m.e project in wbc segmentation. in next step i want to implementation about the cell classification. So if you have the code for that kindly mail to senthilbabu.d@gmail.com. thank you.
