Dear Matlab experts,
I have a database in which 3000 words have their frequency, letter length and syllable length. For instance,
              frequency letter length syllable length
terre 276 5 1

I wonder how to use matlab to choose four groups of 50 words and have each of the groups them matched on their mean frequency, mean letter length and mean syllable length. for instance, I would like to have a result as below. the frequency, letter length and syllable length should not differ significantly across groups. Therefore, I also need to implement the multiple independent t-test to constrain the selection process.
mean frequency mean letter length mean syllable length
group A (50 words) 300.5 4.2 1.3
group B (50 words) 305.8 4.1 1.5
group C (50 words) 296.2 3.9 1.2
group D (50 words) 299.1 4 1.4

Could anyone help me out here? Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Veda
