How to Bring Command Window to Front

I have a large Matlab GUI that prevents me from seeing the Command
Window and, hence, what messages are being displayed. Is there a
command that would bring the Command Window screen to the front (in
front of the GUI)? Or, is there a command that will move a GUI fig
to the back?

I have the Psychophysics Toolbox, which is free from:

http://www.psychtoolbox.org//

It was written for mac, but has a (less complete) set for windows. I
looked now on the website, and it appears the funtionality to do what I do
on my mac to move the command window to front is there in the windows set.

I contains a mex file SCREEN which does a lot of things. Called twice in
succession like this:

cWindow=SCREEN('GetMATLABWindow');
SCREEN(cWindow, 'WindowToFront');

puts the command window to the front. For myself, I just put these two
lines in a (no arguments, no output) function COMMANDFRONT, which I use
frequently in my functions. Now, there may be a simpler way (not requiring
this Toolbox) but I never found it.

Hi,

  Figure windows have a "window" menu that lets you choose a figure
window, or the command window, and then raise it. The function it
uses looks vaguely like this:

>> uimenufcn(gcf,'WindowCommandWindow')

You need to have at least one figure up in order to raise the command
window over it.
