If I create a new file in MATLAB and then try and save it, the MATLAB interface freezes. The same thing happens if I open a new file and do a "save as" to something new. If the file already exists, I'm able to edit it and save it without a problem. I'm also able to create new file in the directory using fopen without a problem, so I know write permissions aren't an issue. This has become very frustrating that I have to keep opening the folder I am currently working in and creating the new m-file there so I can edit it in MATLAB. Any ideas?

Release and is this a newly-developed symptom or with a new install/update?

Either way, this is one for official TMW support at <www.mathworks.com>
