Toby Collins is a full-time senior researcher at the Université d'Auvergne (http://isit.u-clermont1.fr/fr/content/Toby-Collins). His research interests include nonrigid shape analysis, 3D reconstruction from videos, keypoint matching, intra-modal registration, augmented reality with nonrigid objects and realtime systems for computer assisted intervention. He has published over 35 peer reviewed articles in top conferences and journals in computer vision and medical imaging. He received the audience best paper prize in the 2012 International Conference on Information Processing in Computer-Assisted Interventions (IPCAI) for the paper "Towards Live Monocular 3D Laparoscopy Using Shading and Specularity Information". He currently co-supervises two PhD students (Mathias Gallardo and Shaifali Parashar) on the European Research Council Project Flexable (http://flexable.u-clermont1.fr).
