Daniel Auger

Cranfield University

Daniel J. Auger was born in Rainham, Kent, U.K. He received the B.A. and M.Eng. degrees in electrical and information sciences from the University of Cambridge, U.K., in 2000, the M.A. degree from the University of Cambridge, U.K., in 2003, and the Ph.D. degree in control engineering from the University of Cambridge, U.K., in 2005.

From 2004 to 2008, he was with BAE Systems Integrated System Technologies, Ltd., Chelmsford, U.K. From 2008 to 2013, he was with The MathWorks, Ltd., Cambridge, U.K. He is currently a Lecturer in Advanced Control and Optimization at Cranfield University, Beds., U.K. His research has been concerned with energy management systems for automotive applications and next-generation lithium-sulfur battery technology.

Dr. Auger is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in the U.S., a Chartered Engineer in the U.K. and a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, U.K.
