Description

This model represents the dynamics of the inner Solar System (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth + Moon, Mars). The model is visualized using the Virtual Reality Toolbox. Planet sizes and the Earth - Moon distance are adjusted so that the objects in the viewer can be easily visible.

Mutual gravity accelerations of the spatial bodies are computed utilizing fully the Simulink matrix-type data support.

In the virtual world there are several viewpoints defined. You can observe the planets from different static viewpoints, as well as moving viewpoints attached to planets:

• Viewpoint 1 - General view of the Solar system
• Viewpoint 2 - Closer static view
• Viewpoint 3 - Viewpoint of an observer standing on Earth
