Aerospace Blockset

Learn more about Aerospace Blockset through product demos and online seminars that highlight features or application examples.

Vehicle System Modeling

NASA HL-20 Spacecraft Automatic Landing

This demonstration shows NASA's HL-20 lifting body modeled with Simulink®, Aerospace Blockset, and Stateflow®. The model simulates approach and landing flight phases using an auto-landing controller.

Lightweight Airplane Design

This demo shows how to use MathWorks products to address some of the challenges of aircraft design.

Multiple Aircraft with Collaborative Control

This model shows a simulation of multiple aircraft in formation flight, with emphasis on the necessary requirements and the realized benefits in making the simulation vectorized so that it can easily be updated for an arbitrary number of vehicles.

Flutter Analysis Model

Use MathWorks tools to model structural dynamics, aerodynamics, a flutter detection system, and a feedback control system to suppress flutter.

1903 Wright Flyer and Pilot with Simulink 3D Animation

This demo shows the Wright Brother's 1903 Flyer modeled in Simulink and Aerospace Blockset. This model simulates the longitudinal motion of the Flyer in response to the pitch commands of a simulated pilot.

NASA HL-20 Lifting Body and Controller with Simulink® 3D Animation and Gauges Blockset    New

This example shows NASA's HL-20 lifting body modeled in Simulink®, Aerospace Blockset, Gauges Blockset and Simulink® 3D Animation. This model simulates approach and landing flight phases using an auto-landing controller.

Vehicle Component Modeling

Indicated Airspeed From True Airspeed Calculation

In this demo, we show how to use Aerospace Blockset to calculate indicated airspeed from true airspeed.

Quaternion Estimate from Measured Rates

This demo shows two different methods for estimating a quaternion using Aerospace Blockset and Aerospace Toolbox.

True Airspeed from Indicated Airspeed Calculation

In this demo, we show how to use Aerospace Blockset to calculate true airspeed from indicated airspeed.

Control Design

Airframe Trim and Linearize

This demo shows how Aerospace Blockset can be used together with Simulink® Control Design to model, trim, and linearize airframe dynamics.

Self-conditioned Controller Comparison    New

This example compares the implementation of a state-space controller in a self-conditioned form versus a typical state-space controller.
