Description

SignalMaster series cPCI advanced development platforms help users develop and test digital signal processing algorithms through their combination of FPGA and DSP devices. They allow simultaneously designing and testing in a real-time environment through their integration with Simulink® and other software tools for Model-Based Design (optional).

The SignalMaster Dual is designed around a cluster of one Xilinx® Virtex®-4 LX FPGA and two TMS320C6416 DSPs made by TI, which can yield up to 16,000 MIPS/MMACS of DSP power and 48 GMACS of FPGA-based DSP power. The board comes with a complete software development kit to help users reach goals quickly and efficiently.

The SignalMaster Quad is designed around two clusters of one Xilinx Virtex-4 LX FPGA and two TMS320C6416 DSPs made by TI. Each cluster can yield up to 16,000 MIPS/MMACS of DSP power and 48 GMACS of FPGA-based DSP power. The board also comes with a complete software development kit to help users reach goals quickly and efficiently.

SignalMaster series advanced development platforms are fully integrated with the Simulink graphical modeling environment and Simulink Coder for code generation of signal processing algorithms. Lyrtech supplies Simulink blocksets for key onboard I/O devices, allowing users to easily integrate them into their Simulink models. Engineers can also leverage the integrations offered by Xilinx System Generator for DSP and Embedded Coder support for TI DSPs, allowing them to develop their signal processing algorithms in Simulink and automatically program them into Xilinx FPGAs. Finally, Lyrtech offers a configurable blockset that implements a communication link between the onboard FPGAs and DSPs for implementations partitioned across both devices. This integrated link allows engineers to investigate different partitioning of their designs between the DSPs and FPGAs, all within Simulink.
