- Includes several utilities and sample federations
Description
The HLA Toolbox is a MATLAB interface to the U.S. DoD High Level Architecture (HLA 1.3) simulation standard and to the IEEE 1516 standard. Designed to improve organization efficiency to participate in multinational simulations or to implement distributed simulation locally, the HLA Toolbox simplifies federation development. Federate interactions with the Run Time Infrastructure (RTI) can easily be implemented using a GUI to generate the required MATLAB code files. The GUI also provides an organized tree structure presenting the federation object and interaction classes used to identify the attributes and/or interactions the users federate will publish and/or subscribe. The code generated by the HLA Toolbox can be customized to implement the specifics of the model using any of the RTI service groups (Federation Management, Declaration Management, Object Management, Ownership Management, Time Management, and Data Distribution Management).
In addition to the HLA Toolbox functionality, users can design a federate using any licensed MATLAB toolbox including features such as the debugger, the profiler, GUIDE, visualization tools, data access tools, OOP, and numerical algorithms. The uUsers can integrate C or C++ code in the MATLAB federate. The HLA Toolbox simplifies and accelerates federation development and gives users more time to implement models.
