UniPhi extends Simulink with tools that facilitate the rapid development of embedded applications, enabling a model architecture in which target-specific and target-independent functionality are decoupled. System variables and calibration parameters are easily managed using the data dictionary, facilitating model management and the powerful plug-and-play development of an embedded system. The toolset eliminates the need for routing signal lines between individual blocks to exchange data and yet supports the implementation of individual block I/O transparently. The toolset facilitates a consistent block architecture and supports true plug-and-play algorithm implementation.
UniPhi's data dictionary prevents many common bugs from being generated in the first place because it forces users to select signals from a drop-down list. New signals and their attributes can be added to the list as needed. Any changes made to signal attributes are propagated throughout the model automatically. Users confirm the locations of usage of each signal using color highlighting and jumps.
UniPhi also works in conjunction with Embedded Coder™ for efficient generation of scheduling code.
