Description

Since 1997, BrainVision Analyzer 2 has been used by scientists to analyze various types of neurophysiological data.BrainVision Analyzer 2 offers basic and advanced analysis methods, including all necessary preprocessing functions, enhanced time-frequency analysis options, ICA, LORETA, and MRI correction, as well as a direct interface to MATLAB.

The editable History Tree® lets users organize, explore, and trace evaluation steps, including full provenance of the data. Fast and automated analysis with drag-and-drop functions speeds up recurring tasks. Various data format readers recognize files from different EEG manufacturers automatically and allow users to communicate with research labs all over the world. Various views create unlimited output possibilities to publish results.

BrainVision Analyzer 2 comes with free scientific support. Programming interfaces in .NET languages can be used to expand functionality.

Educators can request a special educational license to teach EEG data analysis at their university’s events by visiting www.brainproducts.com/teach_analyzer or contacting education@brainproducts.com.

The product interacts with MATLAB via a COM connection, which is provided as a .NET-COM-Interop-wrapper interface. Data and markers can be transferred from BrainVision Analyzer 2, processed and visualized by MATLAB and its toolboxes, and transferred back into BrainVision Analyzer 2 as a data processing step (node) in the analysis workflow (history tree). The MATLAB interaction is integrated into the automatic data processing mechanism using history templates.

MATLAB, together with its versatile libraries for signal processing and data visualization, has established itself as a powerful tool in the neuroscience research field. The interface from BrainVision Analyzer 2 to MATLAB expands the strength of both products and provides users with a unique combination of reliability, top usability, a user-friendly interface, and avast capacity for signal processing.
