Data Acquisition Toolbox™ 2.12
Supported Hardware - Keithley Instruments
Keithley USB Data Acquisition Devices
Keithley offers a series of USB data acquisition devices called the KUSB Series. MATLAB and Simulink support this Keithley data acquisition hardware using the Data Acquisition Toolbox and an adaptor available directly from Keithley. View the Keithley MATLAB User’s Guide for information on downloading, installing, and using this adaptor.
Keithley ISA, PCI, and, PCMCIA Data Acquisition Devices
MATLAB and Simulink also support ISA, PCI, and PCMCIA Keithley data acquisition hardware using the Data Acquisition Toolbox. The table below lists the hardware supported by the latest release of the Data Acquisition Toolbox. If you have an earlier version of the toolbox, refer to the Minimum Version Required column in the table to see if a device is supported by the version of the toolbox you own. You may need to update to the latest version of the toolbox to use a particular device.
Note: The Keithley adaptor for the ISA, PCI, and PCMCIA devices listed below will not be provided with future releases of Data Acquisition Toolbox. Instead, it will be available as a separate download. This warning has no immediate impact but is intended to advise you for future planning. Once this adaptor is available on MATLAB Central, The MathWorks will not be making updates to the adaptor. See Solution 1-37TKH4 for details.
Data Acquisition Toolbox supports these ISA, PCI, and, PCMCIAdevices using the Keithley DriverLINX hardware driver. We recommend that you visit the Keithley Instruments Web site to download the latest Keithley DriverLINX updates for your particular board. The latest drivers often include bug fixes and resolve compatibility issues. (See the DriverLINX release notes on the Keithley Instruments Web site for details.)
Keithley Instruments using Instrument Standard Protocols
Many Keithley products today use instrument standard protocols and can be used with Instrument Control Toolbox. Instrument Control Toolbox enables you to communicate directly with the instrument using one or more instrument communication protocols including GPIB, VISA, TCP/IP, UDP, and serial. Alternatively, you can communicate with the instrument if the instrument supports an instrument standard such as IVI , LXI, or VXIplug&play.
