Automatic Transmission Control
This example shows how an automobile drive train is simulated in Simulink with Stateflow
to select the automatic transmission ratio. The system is
excited by throttle and brake inputs, to which the engine, torque
converter, transmission, and vehicle models respond with torque and
velocity. This is an especially good application for Stateflow to
separate the discrete decision events from the continuous signal flow, providing
tight supervisory control.
