MATLAB® Distributed Computing Server™ 3.3

Perform MATLAB and Simulink computations on computer clusters and server farms

MATLAB® Distributed Computing Server™, used in conjunction with Parallel Computing Toolbox™, enables MATLAB® and Simulink® users to execute applications on a computer cluster.

MATLAB® Distributed Computing Server™, used in conjunction with Parallel Computing Toolbox™, enables MATLAB® and Simulink® users to execute applications on a computer cluster. The toolbox provides constructs for users to prototype and test applications that solve computationally and data-intensive problems. Once the application runs on the desktop, a user can submit it to the MATLAB Distributed Computing Server product to harness the resources available in a computer cluster.

For cluster administrators, MATLAB Distributed Computing Server addresses key challenges in installation, licensing, and application execution on a cluster. You can install MATLAB Distributed Computing Server on all hardware platforms and operating systems supported by MATLAB and Simulink. It also provides a simplified license management scheme that does not require administrators to manage individual user license profiles on the cluster.

MATLAB Distributed Computing Server includes a basic scheduler, the MathWorks™ job manager, and directly supports Platform LSF®, Microsoft® Windows® Compute Cluster Server, PBS Pro®, and TORQUE schedulers. Other schedulers can be integrated through a generic interface available with the product.
