EDA Simulator Link 3.4
Supported HDL Simulator - Mentor Graphics Questa and ModelSim
MATLAB and Simulink support Mentor Graphics® verification tools using EDA Simulator Link.
EDA Simulator Link is a cosimulation interface that enables you to use MATLAB or Simulink with HDL simulators such as Mentor Graphics Questa® and ModelSim® for efficient verification of HDL code. It provides native cosimulation support for VHDL, Verilog, and mixed-language designs.

Support for Mentor Graphics Questa ADMS Mixed Signal Simulator
EDA Simulator Link communicates through the ModelSim digital simulator to support cosimulation with mixed-signal design implementations simulating in Questa ADMS.
Integration with Xilinx System Generator for DSP and Altera DSP Builder
EDA Simulator Link is compatible with Xilinx® System Generator and Altera® DSP Builder when it is used with ModelSim PE or ModelSim SE from Mentor Graphics rather than vendor-specific versions from FPGA vendors. You can use System Generator or DSP Builder to implement portions of your system design. You can then cosimulate MATLAB, C, C++, Simulink blocks, and your own HDL entities, together with Xilinx System Generator blocks or Altera DSP Builder blocks, in one integrated environment.
Usage Requirements
- Apply the EDA Simulator Link system requirements.
- See the EDA Simulator Link documentation for the list of HDL simulator versions that have been fully tested against the current release.
- Satisfy the system requirements for MATLAB, Simulink, and Mentor products when running them all on the same machine.
