EDA Simulator Link 3.4

Supported HDL Simulator – Synopsys VCS MX

EDA Simulator Link integrated cosimulation environment with Synopsys VCS MX.

MATLAB and Simulink support Synopsys® verification tools using EDA Simulator Link.

EDA Simulator Link is a cosimulation interface that enables you to use MATLAB or Simulink with HDL simulators, such as the Synopsys VCS® MX family of simulators, for efficient verification of HDL code. It provides native cosimulation support for VHDL, Verilog, and mixed-language designs.

Elaboration of a floating-point reference algorithm in Simulink and verification of a Verilog implementation using a cosimulation interface. The interface was created by using EDA Simulator Link with Synopsys VCS MX.

A FIR filter algorithm described in MATLAB code creating on-the-fly stimulus for verification of a Verilog implementation using EDA Simulator Link with Synopsys VCS MX. VCS MX and MATLAB are analyzing the results of the HDL simulation simultaneously.

Usage Requirements

  • Apply the EDA Simulator Link system requirements.
  • See the EDA Simulator Link documentation for the list of HDL simulator versions that have been fully tested against the current release.
  • Satisfy the system requirements for MATLAB, Simulink, and Synopsys products when running them all on the same machine.
