Embedded IDE Link 4.0

Product Description

Embedded Verification and Debugging Using MATLAB

Embedded IDE Link lets you interact with and automate common tasks in a variety of IDEs from a MATLAB session. It provides MATLAB commands that enable you to create projects, add files, and build and load the embedded application onto an embedded processor.

You can use Embedded IDE Link to control the debugger from MATLAB to:

  • Set breakpoints and step through the object code
  • Read and write parameter values for calibration and tuning
  • Add files to the project
  • Examine the code execution profile

Embedded IDE Link also simplifies the transfer of data from MATLAB to the IDE so that you can reuse your original MATLAB data as embedded test vectors. You can transfer data into the processor or simulator through the IDE and execute your algorithm with this test data. You can also use it for bidirectional, interactive data analysis from the MATLAB command window. For example, you can transfer data from embedded processor memory locations to the MATLAB workspace to:

  • Create plots
  • Calculate processor utilization statistics
  • Perform postprocessing operations that analyze and visualize your data

Command and Debug windows. MATLAB commands let you use the IDE (MULTI in this example) to step through the code and view data.
