Image Acquisition Toolbox supports Allied Vision Technologies (AVT) GigE Vision and FireWire cameras. Please see the industry standards below for details and operating system support.
AVT Custom Adaptor
In order to access proprietary and device-specific functionality, Allied Vision Technologies provides a custom adaptor that enables users to interface directly to AVT’s FireWire and GigE Vision cameras with Image Acquisition Toolbox (download available on AVT’s Web site).
The adaptor is a dynamic link library (.DLL/.SO/.DYLIB) that implements the connection between the Image Acquisition Toolbox framework and AVT’s device drivers and provides features such as data logging and triggering. It supports the following interfaces on 32-bit and 64-bit Windows systems:
- IIDC 1394-based DCAM
- GigE Vision
