Image Acquisition Toolbox supports Baumer GigE Vision, FireWire, and Camera Link cameras.
GigE Vision and FireWire cameras can be used directly through your computer’s Ethernet and FireWire ports. Camera Link cameras require the use of a frame grabber. Please see the industry standards below for details, operating system support, and a list of compatible frame grabbers.
If you are interested in accessing proprietary and device-specific functionality in a Baumer camera with Image Acquisition Toolbox, please see documentation regarding the Adaptor Kit. The adaptor is a dynamic link library (.DLL/.SO/.DYLIB) that implements the connection between the Image Acquisition Toolbox framework and device drivers.
