In addition to the interfaces and standards supported by Instrument Control Toolbox, you can work with other standards and protocols directly from MATLAB by using other toolboxes.

CAN Protocol

Vehicle Network Toolbox lets you communicate with in-vehicle networks using CAN (Controller Area Network) protocol directly from MATLAB or Simulink.

OPC Standard

OPC Toolbox enables you to read, write, and log data from any OPC (OLE for Process Control) server that conforms to the OPC Data Access standard.

Image and Video Industry Standards

Image Acquisition Toolbox lets you acquire images and video from cameras and frame grabbers using the following industry standards:

• DCAM Compatible FireWire Cameras (IIDC 1394)
