Instrument Control Toolbox™ 2.6
Supported Hardware - VXIplug&play
MATLAB supports VXIplug&play (also called VXIpnp) instrument drivers through the Instrument Control Toolbox. A VXIplug&play instrument driver often ships with your instrument or is available from your instrument manufacturer’s Web site.
Once you have a VXIplug&play driver, you will typically create a “MATLAB VXIplug&play wrapper” from the VXIplug&play driver using tools provided by the Instrument Control Toolbox. View the MATLAB VXIplug&play user documentation for instructions on how to automatically create this wrapper. Note: A few preconfigured VXIplug&play wrappers and MATLAB instrument drivers that do no require VXIplug&play are available from the MATLAB Central File Exchange.
If a VXIplug&play driver is not available for your instrument, Instrument Control Toolbox can still be used with your instrument. An IVI instrument driver may be available for your instrument that you can use. Alternatively, you can always communicate directly with the instrument using one or more instrument communication protocols including GPIB, VISA, TCP/IP, UDP, and serial. Finally, you can create your own MATLAB instrument drivers with driver development tools provided with the Instrument Control Toolbox.
