Instrument Control Toolbox™ 2.6
Supported Hardware - Other manufacturers
MATLAB and Simulink can be used with instruments from many manufacturers with the Instrument Control Toolbox, even if the manufacturer is not listed here.
You can configure and control your instrument if it supports one or more communication protocols supported by the Instrument Control Toolbox including GPIB, VISA, TCP/IP, UDP, and serial. Alternatively, you can communicate with the instrument if the instrument supports an instrument standard such as IVI, LXI, or VXIplug&play.
Whether you communicate directly with the instrument using a communication protocol or an instrument driver, you can use your instrument with a graphical tool called Test & Measurement Tool provided with the toolbox. Test & Measurement Tool enables you to communicate with, configure, and transfer data with your instrument without writing code. This tool generates MATLAB code for your instrument which you can reuse later to communicate with your instrument or use to develop GUI-based applications
MATLAB and Simulink users who want to control and acquire data from sound cards and data acquisition hardware from CONTEC, Data Translation, National Instruments, and other data acquisition manufacturers should look at using the Data Acquisition Toolbox.

Attention Instrument Manufacturers
MATLAB has over 1,000,000 users today. Some of these users may purchase your hardware based on whether it supports Instrument Control Toolbox. Please contact The MathWorks using the web form below to discuss how you can better integrate your hardware with the Instrument Control Toolbox.
