Introduction
Stateflow Coder generates portable integer, floating-point, or fixed-point C code for Stateflow charts. It supports all Stateflow objects and semantics, helping you develop and test algorithms that can be deployed as stand-alone applications or inserted as sub routines into your existing code.
Stateflow Coder and Real-Time Workshop (available separately) can be used together to generate C code for Simulink and Stateflow models. You can use the resulting code for many non-real-time and real-time applications, including simulation acceleration, rapid prototyping, and hardware-in-the loop testing. You can interactively tune and monitor the code using Simulink blocks and built-in analysis capabilities, or run and interact with the code outside the MATLAB and Simulink environment.
For Stateflow charts that include custom C code, Stateflow Coder automatically incorporates custom code into the generated code. You can also define and include custom global variables that can be shared throughout the application.
Key Features
- Automatically generates portable ANSI-C code for Stateflow charts
- Provides a full set of code optimizations
- Supports integer, floating-point, and fixed-point data types
- Preserves object names from the Stateflow chart and includes fully commented sections to enhance code readability
- Integrates and interfaces with external C code
- Supports tunable parameters with Real-Time Workshop
- Enables animation of Stateflow charts when running a Simulink model in external mode
