Version 6.7, part of Release 2008a, includes the following enhancements:

  • N-D support added to many blocks, including several blocks in the Statistics library
  • Block parameter edit boxes support any built-in MATLAB data type other than Boolean and char
  • From Audio Device and To Audio Device blocks generate code on platforms other than Windows
  • FIR Interpolation uses less memory and is more efficient for frame-based signals in “Maintain input frame rate” mode
  • Delay Line block support for selective enabling of output for increased efficiency

Fixed Point (Requires Simulink Fixed Point)

  • Additional fixed-point data type support for statistics blocks (Min, Max, Variance), the Levinson-Durbin block, and many more. More than 85 blocks in the Signal Processing Blockset now support fixed-point data types.
  • Expanded digital filter support: 14 new structures supporting fixed point and enhancements to the fixed-point implementation of biquad structures
  • New fixed-point dialog interface enables you to set output data types (word size, binary points, rounding, overflow, etc.).
  • Fixed-point support for Signal-to-Workspace and Signal-from-Workspace blocks
  • New modes for most fixed-point blocks to automatically set fixed-point data types for block quantities. These modes ease the transition from floating point to fixed point by minimizing precision loss. Models can be customized to use less precision where appropriate.
