SimElectronics 1.3
Building Models with SPICE-Compatible Blocks
This demo displays a differential-pair amplifier constructed using blocks from the SimElectronics® Library and the Simscape™ Foundation Library. To access these libraries, open the top-level Simscape library by typing "simscape" at the MATLAB® prompt.
The blocks in this demo are color-coded to match an entry in the legend. Double-click on a legend icon to open the associated library. These blocks can come from product block libraries or you can assemble them from a SPICE netlist. The demo Creating Custom Library Blocks from Circuit Netlist shows how to create blocks from a SPICE netlist.
This demo uses several custom simulation settings. In the Configuration Parameters dialog box, the Solver parameter is set to ode23t, which is one of the solvers SimElectronics supports. In the Solver Configuration block, which is required for SimElectronics simulations, the Start Simulation from steady state option is selected to exclude circuit initialization.
The demo includes the SPICE Environment Parameters block, an optional block that allows you to specify circuit temperature and minimum conductance, gmin.
