Linear Electric Actuator (System-Level Model)

This linear actuator consists of a DC motor driving a worm gear which in turn drives a lead screw to produce linear motion. The Linear Electric Actuator (Motor Model) demo shows how to validate the actuator model. This model is a system-level model suitable for motor current and speed controller design. It can also be used in a larger model of the complete system.

For validation purposes, the Simulation mode parameter of the Controlled PWM Voltage and H-Bridge blocks can be set to PWM. For validation of the implementation of the Current Controller, Speed Controller, and PWM & H-Bridge subsystems, see the Linear Electric Actuator (Implementation) demo.
