Simulink® Fixed Point™ 5.6

Product Description

Introduction

Simulink Fixed Point enables the intrinsic fixed-point capabilities of the Simulink product family, letting you design control and signal processing systems that will be implemented using fixed-point arithmetic.

You can perform bit-true simulations to observe the effects of limited range and precision on designs built with Simulink, Stateflow, the Signal Processing Blockset, and the Video and Image Processing Blockset. When used with Real-Time Workshop, Stateflow Coder, or Real-Time Workshop Embedded Coder, Simulink Fixed Point lets you generate C code that will efficiently implement your design using only the integer support of your target.

Key Features

  • Enables fixed-point simulation in Simulink, Stateflow, the Signal Processing Blockset, and the Video and Image Processing Blockset
  • Enables fixed-point code generation in Real-Time Workshop, Stateflow Coder, and Real-Time Workshop Embedded Coder
  • Supports fixed-point rapid prototyping on xPC Target and other rapid prototyping systems
  • Lets you control fixed-point data type and scaling
  • Provides tools to identify overflow and saturation errors
  • Includes automatic scaling tools for trading off range and precision
  • Enables automatic handling of scaling adjustment, advanced math, and other tasks
