Version 2.2.1
Released: 22 Sep 2004Version 2.2.1 includes bug fixes. See the Release Notes for details.
Version 2.2
Released: 02 Jun 2004A new machine environment block lets you assign simulation parameters and visualization settings on specific machines in a
model, enabling you to optimize simulation speed and improve visual rendering.
An optimization has been introduced for two-dimensional systems. SimMechanics now automatically determines the dimensionality
of your model and employs a solution method for 2-D systems that increases execution speed by a factor of 2.
You can now use an input signal to control the value of gravity for modeling applications where gravity varies during the
simulation.
SimMechanics provides the following expanded and improved code generation functionality:
- Model Referencing support
- S-function target support
- Simulink External mode (without visualization)
- Code generation for the point curve constraint
- A stand-alone library for faster code generation
- Better support for standard Real-Time Workshop functionality
- Improved code generation documentation
Demos and documentation have been expanded and updated.
Visualization improvements give you more control over the visualization window.
See Release Notes for additional features and bug fixes.
Version 2.1.1
Released: 22 Sep 2003Version 2.1.1 of SimMechanics contains minor enhancements and is fully compatible with MathWorks Release 13 SP1 products.
Version 2.1
Released: 19 May 2003SolidWorks to SimMechanics Translator
SimMechanics 2.1 contains a stand-alone, computer-aided design (CAD) translator for the SolidWorks® CAD platform. You install
and use the CAD translator with SolidWorks but independently of MATLAB. The translator converts a SolidWorks CAD machine assembly
into an XML file in a special Physical Modeling format. The XML file represents the assembly in a form that you can use with
SimMechanics to generate a block diagram model that is dynamically equivalent to the original CAD assembly. To generate models,
use the new import_physmod command.
