Simulink Parameter Estimation 1.2.3

Product Description

Representing Systems with Adaptive Lookup Tables

Adaptive lookup tables let you represent the dynamic behavior of a physical system by mapping multiple inputs to a single output in a multidimensional data array. Unlike static lookup tables, they can be updated to accommodate the time-varying behavior of a system caused by wear, environmental conditions, and manufacturing tolerances.

The adaptive lookup table blocks in Simulink Parameter Estimation let you use Simulink to estimate multidimensional gain tables from input-output data. You can connect the adaptive lookup block to data sets or to live data from a physical system. A recursive algorithm dynamically recalculates the table contents as new data is fed to the Simulink block, causing the table to learn from the data set or system.

Implementing Adaptive Lookup Tables

You implement an adaptive lookup table using a Simulink block. You can connect your adaptive lookup table to an actual system by compiling the Simulink model and implementing the code using an appropriate host, such as xPC Target (available separately).
