SimulinkĀ® Response Optimizationā„¢ 3.1.3

Product Description

Tuning Simulink Model Parameters to Meet Time-Domain Requirements

Simulink Response Optimization lets you work directly with Simulink models that include nonlinear effects, multiple sampling rates, or fixed-point calculations. All Simulink blocksets are supported. You can select multiple model parameters for optimization. The parameters can be scalars, vectors, matrices, or fields of structured variables defined in the MATLAB or model workspace.

Simulink Response Optimization provides a Signal Constraint block that can be connected to any Simulink signal to optimize its response. The Signal Constraint block lets you constrain the signal either by graphically shaping the desired response or by specifying a reference signal trajectory.

Specifying Model Uncertainty

Simulink Response Optimization helps you test the robustness of your design to variations in model parameters. You can use either Monte Carlo or fixed-grid simulations to increase the robustness of calculations involving the uncertain parameters. Simulink Response Optimization also enables you to set nominal and bounding values for each uncertain variable in the model.
