Real-Time Deployment
Target Support Package IC1 lets you add I/O device driver blocks to your model, generate and build real-time code, and then download the code to the target. You can also integrate your model with hand-coded I/O drivers. You can then execute the code using on-target rapid prototyping to evaluate algorithm performance on production hardware. You can also deploy and execute the code in a production environment.
Application Download
You can download the code using the Altium® TASKING® debugger or the Infineon MiniMon utility over a serial link. In each case, the selected tool is launched automatically at the end of the build process. The generated executable is then downloaded and run automatically. You can also launch the debugger and execute the code in simulation mode on the host PC.
Multitasking Scheduler
A preemptive, multitasking scheduler supports execution of multirate systems. You can configure this scheduler to enable temporary overruns, maximizing processor utilization when a task takes longer than normal to execute. Models can also be configured to run in single-tasking mode.
Parameter Tuning and Signal Logging
Target Support Package IC1 supports parameter tuning and signal logging using either Simulink® external mode or a third-party calibration tool, such as CANape® from Vector Informatik or VISION™ from Accurate Technologies Inc. Parameter tuning or signal logging uses a CAN connection between the host and target.
