Links from Simulink to a Virtual Reality World
The Virtual Reality Toolbox enables you to link your Simulink model to virtual reality world files through a standard file-look-up dialog. Once linked to a world file, the toolbox provides an interface for assigning specific Simulink signals to control virtual reality parameters for the images and views defined in that file. Using this approach, you can control the position, rotation, and size of an image to portray the movement and deformation of a physical object. You adjust the position and orientation of a view to track the movement of objects in the virtual world. For example, you can display a car driving down the road by controlling the view to follow the image of the car as it moves through space.
