Working with Embedded IDE Link™ VS

Embedded IDE Link VS enables you to test, debug, and verify your embedded software application on an Analog Devices processor from MATLAB and Simulink at an algorithm and system level. You can also create complete projects in VisualDSP++ using the code generated by Real-Time Workshop from your Simulink models. In particular, you can:

• Create scripts in MATLAB to automate the debugging and analysis of your embedded code and its output
• Use a Simulink model as a test harness to run PIL simulations of specific Simulink subsystem blocks
• Use the real-time execution profiler to profile your embedded code and identify bottlenecks

Simulink support libraries used in models that target Analog Devices™ Blackfin®, SHARC®, and TigerSHARC® processors. These libraries consist of the generic Target Preferences block for configuring the model for a specific processor and other blocks used for specifying idle tasks and hardware interrupts within the generated real-time scheduler.
