Embedded IDE Link™ VS  (for Analog Devices™ VisualDSP++®) 2.0

Product Description

Generating VisualDSP++ Projects from Simulink® Models

With the project generator component in Embedded IDE Link VS, you can create complete VisualDSP++ projects from Simulink models using the application C code generated from Real-Time Workshop Embedded Coder along with other files specific to VisualDSP++, such as a linker description file or a heap table. You can quickly create embedded software implementations from your Simulink models for prototyping your systems on Analog Devices Blackfin, SHARC, and TigerSHARC processor families.

The project generator component enables you to:

  • Generate VisualDSP++ projects that can be compiled and executed on supported Analog Devices processors
  • Create custom memory maps for code generated from Simulink models
  • Configure cache options from your Simulink models and use the stack profiler to optimize stack usage
  • Perform PIL simulations with the code generated for the subsystem executing on the processor while the rest of the model runs in Simulink on the host PC
VisualDSP++® window showing the project generated during the PIL simulation from the Simulink® model, shown on the previous page. The algorithm C files generated by Real-Time Workshop® from the Simulink® model are combined with VisualDSP++ files, such as the scheduler and linker description file, to create a VisualDSP++ project that is built, compiled, and downloaded from within MATLAB®.
