Interactive Hardware Selection Guide
The xPC Target Interactive Hardware Selection Tool provides a list of supported I/O boards that meet your initial criteria for xPC Target interface hardware. The list includes direct links to the Web pages provided by the board manufacturers. Your final selection of hardware should be based on careful evaluation of the specifications and on how the hardware fits your specific application and environment

Ethernet Chips Supported by xPC Target

A PCI Ethernet card is provided with xPC Target, or you can use your own Ethernet card. Ethernet cards must contain one of the following approved Ethernet chips.

100 Mbits/second Ethernet cards with the following chips:

• I82559 - Ethernet control chip from Intel for PCI bus cards with 10/100 Mb/s
• I82559ER - Ethernet control chip from Intel for PCI bus cards with 10/100 Mb/s
• I82551 - Ethernet control chip from Intel for PCI bus cards with 10/100 Mb/s
• AMD79C971 PCNET - Fast Ethernet controller chips and other chips in the AMD 79C97x family
• DP83815 - Ethernet control chip from National Semiconductor for PCI bus cards with 10/100 Mb/s
• 3C90X - Ethernet control chip and other chips for PCI bus cards in the 3Com 3C90X family

10 Mbits/second Ethernet cards with the following chips:

• NE2000
• SMC91C9X
