Genetic Algorithms and New Optimization Methods in MATLAB

The Genetic Algorithm and Direct Search Toolbox provides both graphical user interfaces and command line tools for applying these nontraditional optimization techniques, which augment the traditional methods found in the Optimization Toolbox.

This live webinar, to be broadcast on September 16, 2004, will provide demonstrations and examples that:

• Introduce the new genetic algorithm, direct search, and binary integer programming solvers
• Show the differences between the Optimization and Genetic Algorithm and Direct Search Toolboxes and the types of problems they can address
• Demonstrate how to quickly set up and solve problems using our optimization tools
• Illustrate how you can apply these tools to find global solutions to problems
