Intelligent Model Car Design Contest | Korea
Student teams from across Korea compete in the Intelligent Model Car Design Contest, which is hosted by the Automotive Control and Electronics (ACE) Lab at Hayang University. The teams design, build, and race model cars that use intelligent car technology (ICT). Engineers in the field of ICT develop safety and efficiency features, such as antilock braking systems, computerized engine-management systems, and lane-departure warning systems.
As a major sponsor, The MathWorks provides student teams with the following products for Model-Based Design:
- MATLAB
- Simulink
- Control System Toolbox
- Simulink Control Design
- Fixed-Point Toolbox
- Simulink Fixed Point
- Real-Time Workshop
- Real-Time Workshop Embedded Coder
- Stateflow
- Stateflow Coder
In addition, The MathWorks awards prizes of cash and software to the top-three student teams. This year's first-place team, Chungbuk National University, won 1500 dollars and copies of MATLAB & Simulink Student Version for each team member.
