Written for freshman engineering and science students, this CD-based tutorial and companion text offer a self-paced introduction to MATLAB. Topics covered include an introduction to the MATLAB desktop, programming in MATLAB, plotting, and MATLAB operations.

The author has developed a self-contained GUI-driven application which is available on a CD bound in the book. The CD includes a set of computer-based lectures that guide students through new concepts and syntax using audio, video, and interactive exercises. This application was developed using MATLAB and deployed with the MATLAB Runtime Server.
