Written for neuroscientists and biomedical engineering students, this book provides an introduction to physiological signals. The book uses MATLAB to demonstrate the analysis techniques used in neuroscience and biomedial engineering. Topics covered include signal averaging, real and complex Fourier series, filtering, and nonlinear techniques.

MATLAB is introduced and used to solve numerous examples in the book. Signal Processing Toolbox, Image Processing Toolbox, and Wavelet Toolbox are also briefly introduced.

Companion software available

In addition, a set of MATLAB M-files is available on a CD bound in the book.
