This CD-ROM tutorial is designed to help the reader learn how to use MATLAB and Simulink for the analysis and design of automatic control systems. It covers the basics of MATLAB and Simulink, the most common classical control design techniques, as well as some modern (state-space) control design and digital control. Using Web-browser technology, the tutorials allow students to learn MATLAB and Simulink by seeing and doing. The tuturial includes material on MATLAB 5 and Simulink 2, hypertext to proceed through the tutorials at one's own pace, and example problems for each topic. The Control System Toolbox is extensively used throughout the tutorials.
