This book contains a set of exercises and projects for teaching undergraduate linear algebra. They are the result of the ATLAST Project (Augmenting the Teaching of Linear Algebra through the use of Software Tools), an NSF-funded series of workshops to encourage and facilitate the use of software in teaching linear algebra. This collection represents the input and ideas of the 425 contributors who participated in ATLAST workshops from 1992 to 1997. This second edition includes new projects, exercises, and M-files. An appendix includes an introduction to MATLAB and the Symbolic Math Toolbox. This book may serve as a companion for the text, "Linear Algebra with Applications, 6e" (ISBN 0-13-033781-1).
