MATLAB and Simulink Based Books
This book is written for students in undergraduate or introductory graduate courses. It aims to place proper emphasis on the methods of matrix structural analysis used in practice and to lay the groundwork for more advanced subject matter. This book presents an introduction to nonlinear analysis in four chapters: a general introduction, geometric nonlinearity, material nonlinearity, and solution of nonlinear equilibrium equations. The text includes approximately 150 illustrative examples in which all developments of consequence in the text are applied and discussed.
Companion Software: The authors have developed a self-contained GUI-driven application, which is available on CD packaged with the text. This application provides for graphically interactive structure definition, linear and nonlinear analysis, and display of results. The application was developed with MATLAB and deployed with the MATLAB Runtime Server.
