Intended for introductory courses on signal processing, this book provides a multimedia approach to analog signal processing. This book contains similar content and presentation style to the book it was derived from, DSP First: A Multimedia Approach. Topics covered include sinusoids, FIR and IIR filters, frequency response, LTI systems, and z-transforms. (This book is also available in English , Greek and Chinese .)

MATLAB is introduced in an appendix, and used to solve numerous examples throughout the book. In addition, a set of MATLAB M-files is available on a CD bound in the book, and supplemental MATLAB graphical user interfaces are available for download.

A set of signal processing labs that show how to synthesize music and then target a TI C6000 DSK is available to supplement this book. These labs require Simulink, DSP System Toolbox, Simulink Coder, and Embedded Coder.
