MATLAB and Simulink Based Books

Psychophysics: A Practical Introduction

Written for undergraduate and graduate students in psychology and the neurosciences, this book provides both the theoretical background and the practical tools for designing psychophysical experiments and analyzing the data obtained from them. The book provides practical tools for analyzing psychophysical data, in the form of a detailed exposition of the Palamedes toolbox (MATLAB routines for analyzing psychophysical data). Topics include psychophysical procedures, psychometric functions, scaling methods, signal detection theory, statistical model comparisons, and adaptive methods.

MATLAB is used to solve examples in the book. In addition, a supplemental set of MATLAB code files is available for download.
