Downloading from the Installer

Starting with Release 2006b, you can download products directly from the installer on Microsoft Windows platforms. You must meet the requirements to download and have the following:

• Installer (on your product DVD or by download)
• MathWorks Account
• Internet connection
• Personal license password (for pre 2008a releases)

To download and install products:

1. Insert the first DVD to automatically start the installer.

You can start the installer manually by double-clicking on setup.exe.

2. Follow the instructions on the installer screens.

Provide your MathWorks Account credentials if prompted. This is required to download products. Your MathWorks Account is the same account that you use to log in to the MathWorks web site.

Requirements to download from the installer are the same as those for downloading from the web site:

1. You must be either:
   
   • The administrator or asset manager of a product license
   • An end user associated with a license, for which the administrator or asset manager has extended download permissions. Learn more.
     
     
2. Your license must be current on software maintenance.
