Installing and Configuring Distributed Computing Toolbox and MATLAB Distributed Computing Engine (R2007a)
Distributed Computing with MATLAB
Distributed computing with MATLAB on a cluster requires two products:
- Distributed Computing Toolbox should be installed on the computer where you write your applications.
- MATLAB Distributed Computing Engine should be installed on each computer of the cluster that performs the computation.
Read the system requirements for these products before proceeding.
Installing Version 3.1 (R2007a)
Set up a cluster for use with Distributed Computing Toolbox and MATLAB Distributed Computing Engine.
Note: For setup on a single machine without a cluster, a local scheduler is included with Distributed Computing Toolbox that allows you to schedule jobs and run up to four workers or labs on a single MATLAB client machine. This local scheduler and its workers do not require a job manager, a third-party scheduler, or MATLAB Distributed Computing Engine.
